09 Oct High-Wind Log
A capsule house high-wind observation log helps a facility team record official conditions, visible changes, access restrictions, escalation and authorized decisions during a wind event. It supports shift handoff without turning observations into a structural assessment.
No universal wind threshold applies to every site, configuration and user. Follow official warnings, approved operating procedures, project documentation and decisions made by qualified technical and emergency personnel.
Open the Event Record
Record the unit, location, date, local time, official weather source and responsible shift. Reference the site’s approved trigger and restrictions rather than inventing a limit in the log.
Capture Observations from a Safe Position
| Area | Record | Escalation cue |
|---|---|---|
| Official status | Warning source, time and stated area | Site procedure trigger reached |
| Approach | Debris, obstruction or unsafe access | Access is uncertain |
| Exterior | Visible loose, shifted or unusual condition | Nearby area needs restriction |
| Openings | Door or window condition without forced operation | Approved closure cannot be confirmed |
| Decision | Restriction, owner and next review | Release criteria remain open |
Do Not Approach to Improve the Record
Do not enter a restricted area or handle loose components to obtain a better photograph. An unchanged exterior view does not prove hidden systems are unaffected. Escalate observations through the approved process.
Hand Over Open Restrictions
Record affected areas, outstanding specialist requests and the person authorized to change status. Close the event only after the approved decision maker records the outcome.
