02 Nov Finish Sample Handoff
A capsule house finish sample approval handoff records the sample identifier, applicable location, reviewer decision, restrictions and effect on production. It prevents delivery, viewing or discussion of a sample from being mistaken for approval.
The contract, approved specifications and authorized reviewers control selection and release. Photographs, renderings and screen colors may not represent a physical finish accurately.
Fix the Sample Reference
Record the project, finish schedule revision, supplier, sample code, physical description, intended location, issue date and custody or return requirement.
Build the Approval Handoff
| Field | Record | Control question |
|---|---|---|
| Sample | Code, revision and physical reference | Is it uniquely identified? |
| Application | Unit, room, surface or component | Where does it apply? |
| Decision | Approved, revise or rejected | Who was authorized? |
| Restriction | Conditions or excluded locations | Is the limitation clear? |
| Production | Release gate, owner and date | What work may proceed? |
Separate Receipt from Approval
Label the sample as issued, received, under review, approved, revised or rejected. Do not release procurement or production from a delivery receipt or informal message alone.
Control Revisions
Retain superseded references, identify the approved physical control sample and notify affected purchasing, production and quality teams when the decision changes.
Use the supplier clarification response register for open questions and the production status handoff for schedule impact. Contact Rovellc for available finish information within the agreed supply scope.
