08 Oct Delivery Appointment
A capsule house delivery appointment register gives the carrier, supplier and destination team one controlled record of shipment identity, agreed time window, site contact, restrictions and changes. It prevents an informal message from becoming the only evidence of a delivery arrangement.
The register is not a carrier, permit, lifting, traffic or site-access approval. Appointed logistics specialists, site management and relevant authorities determine whether movement and unloading may proceed.
Confirm Shipment and Destination
Record the project reference, transport unit, load description, delivery address and current route or booking reference. Confirm that all parties are discussing the same shipment before setting a time window.
Build the Appointment Record
| Field | Record | Confirmation question |
|---|---|---|
| Identity | Project, shipment and transport references | Do records describe the same load? |
| Window | Date, local time zone and duration | Was the window acknowledged? |
| Site | Approved contact, entry point and readiness status | Can the site receive the load? |
| Restrictions | Verified access, timing or operating constraints | Are open issues visible? |
| Change | Revised time, reason, issuer and recipients | Was the old instruction withdrawn? |
Separate Appointment from Release
An accepted time window does not authorize travel, entry, unloading or lifting. Preserve the separate approvals and hold points required by the project. If a restriction remains unresolved, keep the appointment conditional or on hold.
Close the Delivery Handoff
Record actual arrival, receiving contact and open exceptions. Connect deviations to the responsible log rather than editing history. Preserve the final confirmed appointment with delivery records.
Use the delivery route exception log for changed access conditions and the port arrival handoff for destination documents. To discuss delivery context, contact Rovellc.
