22 Sep Corrective Response
A capsule house supplier corrective action response log keeps a documented finding connected to the supplier’s containment, analysis, proposed action, evidence and authorized closure decision. It helps the buyer distinguish receipt of a response from technical or contractual acceptance.
The log is not legal, warranty or engineering advice. The purchase agreement, approved specifications, inspection plan and named project authorities determine obligations and acceptance criteria.
Identify the Finding Precisely
Record the report number, affected unit or batch, requirement reference, observation date and controlled evidence. Use factual wording and preserve the original finding. Do not broaden or soften it when transferring information to the response log.
Control the Supplier Response
| Response area | Record | Review question |
|---|---|---|
| Containment | Affected scope and temporary control | Is further unintended use controlled? |
| Analysis | Supplier’s stated cause and supporting basis | Is it clearly distinguished from fact? |
| Action | Proposed correction, owner and date | Does it require separate approval? |
| Evidence | Inspection, photo or record reference | Is the revision traceable? |
| Decision | Open, returned, conditionally progressed or closed | Did an authorized role decide? |
Separate Receipt, Review and Closure
Acknowledging an email only confirms receipt. Record technical review and commercial or contractual decisions separately. If the response changes an approved baseline, route it through the controlled change process rather than closing the finding in isolation.
Preserve Open Actions
Keep due dates, responsible roles and missing evidence visible. Reopen the item when evidence does not match the stated action or when affected scope changes. Trend repeat findings without claiming a root cause before qualified review.
Use the supplier submittal register for controlled submissions and the design change log for approved baseline changes. To discuss configuration and documentation needs, contact Rovellc.
