16 Oct Production Status Handoff
A capsule house supplier production status handoff gives buyer and supplier teams one dated record of the order scope, verified progress evidence, blockers, approved changes and the next review. It prevents an informal percentage or photograph from being interpreted as completion or release.
The handoff is not an inspection certificate, payment approval, completion acceptance or shipping release. The contract, approved documents and authorized decision makers control those separate steps.
Fix the Reporting Baseline
Identify the purchase order, model or configuration, quantity, current approved revision, agreed milestone and reporting date. If the baseline changed, link the approved change instead of silently measuring against an obsolete scope.
Build the Status Handoff
| Field | Record | Control question |
|---|---|---|
| Scope | Order, unit and approved revision | Is the baseline current? |
| Evidence | Dated record and source | What is directly verified? |
| Blocker | Issue, owner and required input | Who can close it? |
| Change | Reference and approval status | Is it authorized? |
| Next step | Action, owner and review date | Is the handoff actionable? |
Separate Evidence from Forecasts
State what the evidence shows and label forecasts, estimated dates and dependencies separately. A photograph may support a specific observation, but it does not prove hidden work, quantity, conformity or readiness beyond its visible scope.
Close the Reporting Cycle
Record buyer receipt, questions, revised evidence and the next formal checkpoint. Carry unresolved items forward with their original references rather than resetting them in each update.
Use the purchase order acknowledgement to confirm the commercial baseline and the pre-shipment inspection record for the later inspection stage. To discuss the available supply scope, contact Rovellc.
